Detailed Help

Loan Request:

This is the pages where you request to borrow an item for a specified period of time. Note this process creates an e-mail request that is sent in your name to the owner of the asset asking to borrow the item (you will also receive a copy of the mail in your in-box - if you have so specified on your My Account page).

The owner of the asset then can decide to accept or decline your loan request via CYNF and you will be notified by e-mail. Once the loan has been confirmed the loan is assumed to happen on the start date of the loan and be due for return on the end date of the loan.

If this is not the case then you or the owner have the ability to cancel or edit the loan as required.

If the owner of the asset is a Gold Member and the loan has already taken place then the owner can just register the loan rahter than going through the request and confirm process outlined here. The owner can do this by logging into the system and clicking on the asset loaned on his or her "My Assets" page and filling in the detail on the Register Loan section.

The loan request process has two steps:

Step 1) Select Start and End Date:

From the calendar on the right select by clicking the appropriate days in the calendar. If you make a mistake keep clicking the calendar will take the last two day clicked as the start and end date respectively.

If the date is not selectable it is bacause, it is either already booked, another request was made before yours or the date is in the past. If so choose alternative dates from the calendar.

CYNF works on a first come first served basis for requests but as always the owner can decline any loan proposed.

Step 2) Enter Pick Up Details & Press Request

Use this section of the page to give details of where you will pick up the item you are borrowing, when during the day and any other information that may be necessary.

eg.

Pickup Location: Your house

Pickup Time: During your wife's birthday party on Friday

Email Comment: Do you have any suggestions for a present for her? What about CYNF Gold Membership ;-)

Request Further Information

When you press the "Request" button at the end of the page the owner will be sent an e-mail address in your name with your e-mail address from our server with the details of the loan requested and a hyperlink to our system so that the owner can quickly confirm or decline the loan.

Once the loan is confirmed you will receive an e-mail confirming this sent by CYNF from the owner.

If it is declined the system will send you a decline notice and the owners email address will not be given.

Please note that the owner of the asset will be informed of your e-mail address in this process, this is deliberate as the email is yours and it is more likely not to be filtered or lost if it is seen as coming directly from a friend.

Please keep all e-mails cordial and friendly. We do not tolerate SPAM or malicious e-mails. Please refer to our User Agreement

For security reasons and to avoid our server being used for malicious emails or spam this e-mail will also include the IP address of your computer.

Navigation:

Navigation is easy in CYNF HQ by using a combination of the top tabs and the left side tabs to navigate through CYNF HQ.

• Top Tabs: selects the asset category or group
• Left Side Tabs: selects the function or information

eg. Select "Games" and "Loans" to see all applicable loans relating to Games.

Add Assets :

You can add assets at anytime.

Remember the more assets you add the more your friends can see and the more likely they are to add assets themselves.

To add additional assets click on the "Add Assets" menu item on the top of the page just under the CYNF Logo.

Invite Friends :

You can invite friends at anytime.

Remember the more friends that you add the larger your friends network becomes (especially as they add friends) and therefore the more assets that are available to borrow.

To invite friends click on the "Invite Friends" menu item on the top of the page just under the CYNF Logo and complete the e-mail form.
