With the increasing popularity of smartphones and mobile broadband, internet access and e-commerce transactions have become an indispensible part of our daily lives. While the internet is an excellent source of information, parents must devote even more time and resources to educating the next generation of internet-savvy children on the "do's and don'ts" of appropriate online behaviour. We will need customised, mandatory coursework on password and information sharing protocols, basic computer and IT security tools, awareness of harmful and dangerous websites, and knowledge of responsible e-commerce transactions.
